Madhya Pradesh floods with heavy rains: Bhopal school-colleges closed

Due to heavy rains falling over two days, Madhya Pradesh is in a very bad condition. Rivers are overflowing with danger signs. Due to the rains in Bhopal and Vidisha, water has infiltrated many houses. Mandala district recorded 134 mm of rainfall.

The river Parvati is flowing above the danger mark in Sehore. Due to the rains, the Burgi Dam on the Narmada river in Jabalpur has been submerged. Due to which 21 gates of the dam have been opened. Heavy rains have been warned over the next three to four days across Madhya Pradesh. In many districts including Bhopal, school colleges were closed today.

On the other hand, people were strained in the Sivni-Wainanga river. One of them has been rescued while two are still missing. The incident took place in Pusera village of Sewanee. It has been raining continuously for two days in Sewanee. The ASP and the Homeguard Commander have been deployed at the incident site.

Heavy rains in many parts of the state, including Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, have stunted lives. Due to the rain, the low lying areas are flooded. The state's public relations minister PC Sharma visited the affected areas amid the continuous rains in Bhopal.

Sharma has directed district collector Tarun Pithode to immediately supply grain and relief material to the areas where the water is flooded. People in the lower area should be moved to a safe place. The control room should be continued for 24 hours following continuous rainfall. Keep an eye on low lying and densely populated areas.

Vidisha next to Bhopal is worse. Vidisha recorded 178.5 mm of rainfall in 24 hours. Due to this, many colonies of Vidisha have been inundated with water. In the Nadipura area, 25 people were rescued with the help of a boat that infiltrated the river Betwa.
