Eight Apache AH-64E helicopters made in the US have been inducted into the IAF today to enhance the combat capabilities of the Indian Air Force. Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa was the chief guest on the program organized at the Pathankot Air Force Station.

As India faces many challenges on terrorism, the helicopter joining the Indian Air Force will help India fight terrorism better.

Speaking on the occasion, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa said that Apache helicopters would play an important role in modernizing the Indian Air Force.

It is worth mentioning that the AH-64E Apache helicopters have advanced technology and are also used by the American Air Force. Six helicopters have been inducted into the Indian Air Force six months after India's air strike in Balakot, Pakistan.

The American company, Boeing, has developed modern helicopter helicopters. The helicopter was brought to Hinden Airbase in Ghaziabad on July 7. He was then sent to Pathankot Airbase at the end of the trial where he has been formally inducted into the Indian Air Force today.

On this occasion Dhanoa further stated that these are the most powerful helicopters in the world. These helicopters can perform a variety of missions. For this helicopter, India, along with Boeing and the US government, signed an agreement for 22 Apache helicopters. The first eight helicopters have arrived in India in time and the remaining helicopters will be available to India by March, 2020.

Ed McKee, a pilot in the British Air Force, has flown Apache helicopters in sensitive areas of Afghanistan for five years. He was a member of a rescue team in the Peace Corps.

In an interview, he said that blowing up Apache is like having someone tied you to the roof of a moving car at 100 miles an hour. This is a very fast helicopter. These helicopters attack their enemies very cruelly. Flying the Apache helicopter requires very tough and long training.

Which is a huge expense. The army may also have to spend $ 3 million to train one pilot. Ed Mackie had to train for 18 months to fly this helicopter. These helicopters are a very difficult task to control. The helicopter has the capacity to drop 14 missiles simultaneously.

Apache's specialty

The Apache helicopter, which is 16 feet high and 18 feet wide, needs two pilots to fly.

The maximum speed of an Apache helicopter is 280 kilometers per hour.

The helicopter is designed in such a way that it is difficult to catch it on the radar.

The rifle underneath the helicopter can fill up to 1200 bullets of 30mm at a time.

The flying range of this helicopter is 550 kilometers. The helicopter can fly for 2.45 hours continuously.

Boeing has so far sold 2200 Apache helicopters to various countries in the world.

India has become the 14th country in the world to receive this modern helicopter.

Flying Apache helicopters is very difficult and the training is very long and expensive.
