In the name of NRC, BJP Mamata accused of spreading fear in Bengal

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attacked BJP while addressing the trade union. Mamata Didi said that BJP is spreading fear in the state in the name of implementing NRC, but West Bengal government will never allow NRC to be implemented.

Addressing the trade union, Mamata Banerjee literally attacked the BJP, saying that there has been a tradition of opposition and protests in a democratic country, but BJP has abolished the tradition of protest.

Protests are a very important thing in keeping democracy alive. West Bengal government and Trinamool Congress workers will oppose the NRC and keep that living tradition alive. Mamata Banerjee claimed that six people had died in the state because of this fear.

There is a conflict between the BJP and the state's ruling Trinamool Congress Party in West Bengal over the issue of the National Register of Citizens (NRC). The central government had indicated the implementation of NRC in West Bengal. On the other hand, Mamata Didi and the Trinamool Congress opposed the implementation of the NRC.

Addressing the trade union, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had said in clear words that whatever happens, I will never allow the NRC to apply in the state. Until then, Mamata Banerjee had said that NRC would not apply to any other state in the country. This happened in Assam because there was an Assam agreement with the Center, but no other state has made such an agreement.

West Bengal will never sign such an agreement. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called on her to participate in the nationwide strike on October 18. The Chief Minister asked the Trinamool Congress supporters to join the protest on May 18 to protest the privatization.
