For years in Coimbatore, an elderly woman named Kamaltal has been feeding people idly for one rupee for years. He is known by locals as 'Idliwali Amma in one rupee'. The idol-making lotus in Chula is over 85 years old. His video went viral on social media and since then, Kamaltal has now been released from the smoke. With the intervention of Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra and Dharmendra Minister, he has now got a gas connection in the FREE.

In small coaches and restaurants in Coimbatore, idlis are usually available for between Rs. 10 to Rs. 50. But Kamalatl has been trading people with cheap Idli for 30 years. Even at this age, they are selling around 600 idli a rupee daily with gold and coconut sauce. Her husband does not exist in this world and initially he was selling idli for 25 paisa. With the increase in prices of all the necessary items, he has now reduced the price of Idli to one rupee. For them this is a kind of social trade. It is linked to higher profitability.

Kamlatal wakes up at 4am in the morning and does all the preparations alone. At his shop there is a crowd of employees, drivers and laborers of government and private companies. Someone put his idli shop on social media and in one rupee Idli's Amma shop went viral on social media, after which he got gas connection for free. Apart from this, the collector of Coimbatore also visited him and gave him all possible help from getting a house under the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme.
