First arrest on three talaq cases in Bhagalpur, accused in jail

City DSP has arrested the accused Mohammad Sarfaraz in three cases in Nathanagar in Bhagalpur district of Bihar. On September 15, Sarfaraz gave his wife Alkuma three divorcees and has been arrested on the basis of the complaint.

The accused has been arrested for the first time in three cases in Bhagalpur district of Bihar and has been pushed behind bars. A while ago, Alkama of Narga Mahola was married to Mohammad Sarfaraz of Sardarpur.

After the marriage, there were constant disputes between the spouses and a panchayat was organized by the local people to resolve it. However, Sarfaraz continued to harass his wife after which a complaint was lodged against him at Nathanagar police station on September 3.

Then on September 15 last, Sarfaraz gave Alquma three dates so that Alkuma presented to the DIG. The case was investigated by filing a complaint on DIG's directive, but Sarfaraz himself was innocent at the time. After proper investigation, Sarfraz was arrested on three felony counts and was produced in jail after being produced before the court.
