Chandrayaan-2 mission is being proclaimed to divert attention from recession: Mamata

Kolkata, Ta. September 6, 2019, Friday

Commenting on the National Citizen Register (NRC), West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that there was an economic slowdown in the country. Chandrayaan-2 mission is being proclaimed to divert attention from the recession.

Mamata Banerjee further said that it seems that such missions had not taken place before Modi came to power. Criticizing Narendra Modi, Mamata said that you can manage the US, Russia and Israel but not Bengal.

It is worth mentioning that Mamata Banerjee is continuously attacking the Modi government. Recently, a proposal was submitted against the National Citizens Register (NRC) in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly. The proposal presented by the Mamata government has also passed.

All the parties, other than the BJP, supported the proposal. BJP lawmakers have also demanded NRC in West Bengal. Mamata Banerjee is likely to visit Assam on September 12. There they are likely to protest.

This is why Mamata Banerjee is trying to unite all parties. However, the BJP has opposed Mamata Banerjee's move. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee had expressed her displeasure at the NRC for not including the names of more than one lakh people of the Gorkha community.

Mamata said that thousands of Indians have left the NRC. Mamata Banerjee tweeted on September one after the government demanded that the Indians be kept out of the list.

Meanwhile, the BJP responded to Mamata Banerjee's remarks on Chandrayaan-2 mission saying that Mamata Banerjee is sad when the entire country is celebrating. The BJP has accused Mamata Banerjee of damaging the country's reputation.
