New York, Ta. September 8, 2019, Sunday

Canada's 7-year-old tennis star Bianca Andrescu won the US Open women's singles title after beating U.S. 2-year-old superstar Serena Williams in straight sets, 6-8, 6-3.

With this, Andrescu became the first tennis player in Canada to win a Major Seagulls title in tennis. While Serena Williams suffered her fourth consecutive Grand Slam Championship final. Along with this defeat, Serena's career record also missed the Grand Slam of the 8th and the seventh US Open title.

Serena was a hot favorite to become the champion in the women's singles final played at Flushing Meadows in New York. However, Andrescu won the first Grand Slam final of his career with a memorable win. Notably, Serena also lost to Japanese player Osaka, who was playing her first career final of the year.

Winning the US Open, history-maker Andrescu said, "It was a memorable event for me to play at this stage against a great player like Serena." However, my trip was not easy. Serena Williams, who returned to tennis after becoming a mother, made it to the finals of seven major titles, losing four of them.

Andrescu won the first set easily in the final. In the second set she was leading 3-5 and in her service she got the match point. Serena, however, won four consecutive games at this stage with a strong comeback and brought the match to 1-3. Andrescue, however, won the fight by then.
