BJP leader Chinmayananda admitted raping, arrested

Uttar Pradesh BJP leader Chinmayanand has been arrested by police in a rape case on a student. The hyperfile case was being investigated by the police for a long time and proceedings were under the supervision of the Supreme Court.

Police arrested and arrested the next day after threatening to burn her alive if there was no arrest or any other action. Meanwhile, Chinmayananda has accepted the allegations leveled against him.

Chinmayanand is accused of raping a young woman studying law in a college run by her trust and ashram. The incident came about when the young woman issued a video expressing herself on the issue. However, the girl disappeared suddenly.

In the entire case, the letter was written to the Supreme Court by the lawyers without any action against the accused, after which the Supreme Court ordered the police to take proper action in the entire case and the statement of the girl was taken to the court.

At present, the girl has been transferred to other colleges and her security has also been enhanced so that the supporters of Chinmayanand do not attack the girl. Police said Chinmayanand was arrested at his Shahjahanpur Srithat Ashram at around 6.30am on Friday morning.

He was later produced before a court amid heavy security. Chinmayanand was remanded to judicial custody by the court after he was produced before the SIT constituted by the Uttar Pradesh police. Police said Chinmayanand was arrested on rape charges.

Questions are also being raised as to why the action was taken a month after the allegations were made in the entire matter, to which the state DGP said that it was not too late in the case, all the action was taken one step after another.

Swami Chinmayananda, on the other hand, has accepted his allegations and has said that I feel ashamed of whatever I have done. The SIT Chief said that Chinmayanand accepted the charges and now he has been sent to judicial custody. Chinmayananda has said that I do not want to say more, I am ashamed of what I did.
