Afghanistan: 90 Taliban militants killed in US military operation in Afghanistan

The United States has cleared 90 Taliban militants today with the help of Afghan forces, accelerating military action against the Taliban after the peace talks with the Taliban were dropped in Afghanistan. While 20 terrorists have been injured. 12 militants have been killed in the country's Samangan province.

US and Afghan forces launched a joint counter-insurgency operation against Taliban today in Paktika, southeastern Afghanistan.

The US-assisted airstrikes have killed 90 Taliban militants and wounded another 20 militants in a joint military operation by US-Afghan forces.

The terrorists' 23 motorbikes, a tractor and weapons were destroyed. This is the largest anti-Taliban US military operation since the negotiations for peace failed, a spokesman for the Afghan National Army Corp said.

Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump canceled peace talks with Taliban who reached the door of agreement. Despite the negotiations for peace, Taliban attacks in Afghanistan continued.

12 Taliban killed in Samangan

An anti-Taliban campaign was also launched in Afghanistan's Samangan province. The airstrikes here killed 12 militants, including Taliban group commander Mullah Nuruddin. Afghan army spokesman Muhammad Hanif said the militants were reportedly hiding in Dara-e-Suf Payan district. Later this morning it was targeted by the hustle of the fighter jets.
