Rain threatens floods in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, floods in Punjab, Haryana

Himachal Pradesh, which is considered as Devbhumi, has rained heavily in Uttarakhand.

Himachal Pradesh: At least 10 people have been killed in the rains. Four persons, including two children, were killed in a landslide in Shimla. Currently, over 350 roads including five national highways in the state are closed due to rainfall. The Manali-Leh highway was badly damaged. Simla's heritage train has also been forced to shut down.

In Uttarakhand, due to the rains, life has become chaotic. There have been landslides. The trouble has been caused by the collision on the road to Mussoorie Yamanotri. In Uttarakhand too, roads have to be closed. Most of the rivers in the state are flooded.

In Haryana and Punjab, it has created flood-like conditions. In Haryana, the water level of Yamunanu has reached near danger level. This could create flood-like conditions in Delhi in the next 72 hours.

The doors of Bhakra Dam have also been opened in Punjab. An order has been issued to evacuate 81 flood-hit villages. Heavy rains are forecast in Haryana and in Punjab.
