Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the world to save the environment at the G-7 summit. Modi also presented India's role in saving the environment in a speech to the world.
Modi appealed to stop plastic use, saying it was causing irreparable damage to the environment. Modi emphasized on the use of solar power from saving water and India's role in this regard was also presented to the world.
Emphasizing the need to protect trees and organisms for the environment, he said that the traditional lifestyle of India is that trees and organisms are a part of the lifestyle and worship is important.
External Affairs Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar tweeted that the Prime Minister had given a speech in the G-7 summit regarding the challenge to save the world environment. He also discussed India's contribution in these matters and said that the government is trying to curb the use of plastic.
