Jammu and Kashmir flag becomes history after 370

The flag of state has been removed from Srinagar secretariat after the revocation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Now the national flag is flying here. Until last week, both flags were worn together.

Officials said that now all the government offices will have a wave. Parliament has abolished Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. The privileges under which the state was granted have come to an end.

Jammu and Kashmir had its own Constitution, Flag and Penal Code but after the repeal of Article 370, the Indian Constitution will apply there. Triangles will be installed on government buildings and the Indian Penal Code will be followed. In the state, no outsider was prohibited from buying land. This rule has also been removed. Besides, the Narendra Modi government has made Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh two separate union territories.
