Due to the cancellation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, the abandoned Pakistan created flood situation in the Ferozepur area of Punjab, leaving the Sutlej river water to India. Pakistan did so a few days ago.
The district administration of Ferozepur moved the low lying areas on Sunday and prepared the National Disaster Relief Force personnel to deal with the flood situation.
A spokesman for the government said that because Pakistan released too much water from the Sutlej, flood-like situation was created in the villages along the river bank. Particularly in the village of Tediwala and its surrounding villages, flood-like conditions were created. State health department, food supply department and other departments were allotted.
