(PTI) Beijing, Ta. August 12, 2019, Monday

India told China today that it is very important to ensure that bilateral differences do not become controversial. So China also said that it was a Kashmir issue and its post-Indo-Pak. The couple is keeping an eye on the tensions between the two. China also advised New Delhi that it should play a positive role for regional peace and stability.

Foreign Minister S. Jayashankar, who visited China for three days, today visited Wang Qishan, the widely respected Vice President of the Chinese President, and then met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to take on a limited delegation.

Welcoming Jaishankar, Wang cited India-Pakistan tensions without directly mentioning India's move to repeal Article 370 of Kashmir. 'On the basis of the principle of the Pentecost of co-existence, we can take advantage of mutual cooperation.

This is a matter of fundamental interest and is of long-term interest to the people of both countries as well as contributing to human progress and world peace, "said Wang.

He further said that at the same time, India and China are two major countries with the responsibility of maintaining regional peace and stability. We also keep a close eye on the situation when it comes to the recent tensions between India and Pakistan and the far-reaching consequences. We hope that India will play an important and positive role for regional peace and stability, ”said Wang.

The visit of India's first foreign minister, Jaishankar, who visited China in the second term of the Modi government, is after India abolished Article 370 that gave special status to Kashmir and divided the state into two pieces. Though India had abolished Article 370 and its first visit to Jaishankar was scheduled, the visit is of great importance.

It is worth mentioning that Jaishankar visited China on the second day of Pakistan's Foreign Minister Mehmood Qureshi's visit to China. Jayashankar previously served as India's Ambassador to China from 2009 to 2013. His tenure was longer than any Indian ambassador.
