New turning point in Bhima-Koregaon case, Gautam novel ties with Hizbul

Mumbai, Ta. July 25, 2019, Thursday

The Maharashtra state government claimed in the Mumbai High Court that Gautam Novella, who was arrested in the Bhima Koregaon case, had links with the Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist organization in Pakistan.

Gautam Navlakha and another person are accused of Naxal activity, Gautam filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court to cancel the First Information Report (FIR) registered against him. Speaking before Justice Ranjit More and Justice Bharti Dongar in the Division Bench of the High Court, the government lawyer claimed that from 2011 to 2014, Navlakha was in touch with separatist leaders of Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Shakib Bakshi.

We have evidence that Gautam also had links with Pakistan's terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen. We found this information from the laptops of co-accused Rona Wilson and Surendra Gadling. In this laptop, Gautam, who belongs to a Naxalite group, is a note of the conversation he had with the group and Gautam Hizbul Mujahideen.
