New Delhi: Sydney's Downing Center District Court has found Balesh Dhankhand, a leader of the Indian community in Australia, guilty of drugging and raping five Korean women and filming the act with a hidden camera. According to a report published in the Sydney Morning Herald, the politically motivated man faced 39 charges, including thirteen charges of rape between January and October 2018. A Sydney District Court jury found Balesh Dhankhad guilty of all charges.

Data expert Balesh Dhankhad broke down in court after the jury foreman found him guilty each time against 39 charges. According to a Herald report, Dhankhad will now appear in court again in May. He will be punished later.

As soon as Dhankhad was found to have been raped, the Congress lashed out at the BJP on social media.
