Riaz-Mohammed Gauss plotted a terrorist attack in Jaipur

The NIA has started interrogation of Riaz Attari and Mohammad Gaus, accused in the murder of Hindu tailor Kanaiyalal in Udaipur, Rajasthan. However, according to police sources, both the accused have joined the terrorist organization IS. Both have also gone to Pakistan. There are also reports that the two terrorists plotted to carry out a serial blast in Jaipur on March 30. Both the accused were produced in the local court on Thursday, where they have been remanded for 15 days.

Riaz Attari and Mohammad Dagous, both accused in the murder of Hindu tailor Kanaiyalal for supporting Nupur Sharma, were linked to IS's remote sleeper organization Al-Sufa through Dawat-e-Islami. Riaz Attari had been working in the areas around Udaipur for five years. He also built his network in the areas around Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. Riaz Tonk was linked to the arrested ISIS terrorist Mujib.

It is alleged that Riaz was campaigning with another accused, Mohammad Gauss. Gauss had gone to Karachi on his way to Jodhpur in 2012. Mohammad Gaus was accompanied by 20 people to Karachi, where he underwent a three-day training at Dawat-e-Islami. He is also accused of plotting a serial blast in Jaipur on March 30. Police arrested three people with 12 kg RDX during a blockade in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan on March 30. The men were coming to Jaipur from Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. The plot to carry out a series of blasts in Jaipur was foiled when they were caught on the way.

Preliminary police investigations have revealed that Mohammad Gaus and Riaz Attari, the killers of Kanaiyalal, were in constant contact with people sitting in Pakistan. The two were constantly talking on Pakistan's 8th to 10th numbers. Riaz and Mohammad Ghaus said in the interrogation that they were going to kill another trader who was a supporter of Nupur Sharma. The NIA has arrested five of his other accomplices. According to sources, further arrests could be made in the case. The NIA has launched an investigation into the case.

Meanwhile, Riaz and Mohammad Gauss were produced in court on Thursday. The court has remanded both the accused in judicial custody for 15 days till July 15. When both the accused were produced in court, more than 50 lawyers chanted slogans against them. "We want both the terrorists to be hanged," said Girija Shankar Mehta, president of the Bar Association. No lawyer will fight the case of both terrorists. This is not a common occurrence.

Meanwhile, the Udaipur incident has reverberated in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad. In the past, Delhi and Mumbai were connected to Moradabad by terrorist incidents in different parts of the country. Intelligence agencies have launched an investigation into the activities of the Dawat-e-Islami organization in Moradabad. Noida police have also arrested Yusuf Khan for making catastrophic remarks on a video of Kanaiyalal's murder. On the video, he commented, "Very good Kia Mere Bhai."
