PAK lashes out at India over Udaipur murder case

Kanhaiyalal, a tailor in Udaipur, Rajasthan, has been widely criticized for his brutal murder. The Pakistan link has also come to the fore in the revelations made so far in the investigation of the murder. The connection between the two accused in the incident is linked to the Karachi-based Sunni Islamic organization Dawat-e-Islami. Now an official statement from Pakistan has also come out in this regard.

"We have seen reports in the Indian media of an investigation into a murder case in Udaipur in which the accused are being linked to a Pakistani organization and trying to defame Pakistan," a statement from Pakistan's foreign ministry said. There is no truth in these allegations.

"We reject these allegations," the statement said. However, Pakistan did not name Dawat-e-Islami in its statement. Along with this statement, Hindutva was also targeted by Pakistan along with BJP and RSS. Pakistan alleged that such efforts would not succeed in misleading the people in India or abroad.

Pakistan's statement came at a time when the interrogation of the two accused in the Udaipur murder has so far revealed that they belong to the Sufi Barelvi sect of Sunni Islam. It has also acknowledged its affiliation with Dawat-e-Islami, an organization based in Karachi. According to anti-terrorism campaign officials, it is also being investigated whether they have links with other radical Sunni organizations in India and the 'Muslim Brotherhood'.
