Homosexual couples will now be able to get married in Switzerland

Switzerland has enacted a law legalizing same-sex marriage. Homosexual couples will now be able to get married in Switzerland. A referendum was held last year on the law.
Switzerland has enacted a law recognizing same-sex marriage. Homosexual couples will now be able to get married in Switzerland as soon as this law comes into force. Many European countries had previously recognized such a law. In Switzerland, gay couples celebrated the introduction of a new law called Marriage for All. Many people said that this is considered to be late compared to other European countries, but it is a good thing that such a law was enacted later than it ever happened.
Under the new law, same-sex couples will now be able to marry, but also adopt children. Not only that, if you have a homosexual relationship with a foreigner, you can call him on a spouse's visa in Switzerland. Same-sex couples have been allowed to live together in Switzerland since 2006, but no law has been enacted to allow marriage. When a referendum was held in October last year, 5.1 per cent of citizens voted in favor of same-sex marriage.
