GAT collection in June, 2013 was Rs 1.5 lakh crore

InJune ,2013, GAT collection stood at Rs 1.5 lakh crore. That is 3 per cent more than the same period last year, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaram said in a statement. Meanwhile, the Finance Minister has directed the tax authorities to make the GST system so transparent that no discrepancies arise.

TheJune205 collection is the second largest collection since the GST system was introduced .Earlier, in April , 2009, GST collection was Rs 1.5 lakh crore.

Nirmala Sitaram has said that the total GST collection in June was Rs1,5,212 crore. Which is 3% more than the collection in June last year. He further said that now the collection of Rs 1.50 lakh crore has become normal. We hope that GST collection will continue to exceed Rs 1.50 lakh crore in the coming days.

The finance ministry said in a statement that for the fifth time since the introduction of the GST system, GST collection has been more than Rs 1.50 lakh crore. GST collection has been more than Rs 1.50 lakh crore for four consecutive months since March2009 .

The ministry said the increase in GST collection was due to economic recovery as well as measures taken to curb tax evasion.

Out of the GST collection of Rs 1.5 lakh crore in June, Central GST was Rs 5,207 crore , State GST was Rs 4,207 crore and Integrated GST was Rs 4 , 5 crore. It may be mentioned that GST was implemented in the entire country from July 1 , 2016. With this, six years have passed since the implementation of GST.

On the other hand,a total of 25 million e-way bills have been generated inMay , 207. Which is 3% less thanin April , 207. In April ,206, 25 million e-way bills were generated.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the GST, saying it was a major tax reform. This has helped in achieving the goalof Ease of Doing Business and One Nation , One Tax.
