Twitter has until July 4 to comply with government orders

The government has issued a notice to Twitter asking it to ensure compliance with all previous government orders by July 4, an official statement said.

The Ministry of Electronics and IT has set a deadline of July 4. If the order is not complied with, Twitter may lose intermediate status, which means that it will be responsible for all comments posted on its platform.

According to government sources, a notice was issued to Twitter on June 6 asking it to comply with all orders issued by the government so far.

A notice was also issued earlier this month but the orders were not followed by Twitter. Twitter has now been issued a final notice.

An email sent to Twitter about this has not received any response. It is worth mentioning that there has been a dispute between the government and Twitter on several issues. On June 7, Twitter released a list of more than 50 Twitter accounts and tweets that were blocked in 2021 at the request of the government.
