Satyendra Jain sent to 14-day custody in money laundering case, bail hearing tomorrow

Satyendra Jain, a minister in Delhi's Kejriwal government, is once again in for a big shock. The court has remanded him in custody for 14 days in a money laundering case. He was arrested by the ED on May 30. Earlier on June 9, the court had remanded him in ED custody till June 13. He was arraigned in Rouge Avenue court before the time limit expired today.

A bail application has also been filed in the court by Satyendra Jain, who is in charge of the health ministry in the Delhi government. The case is set to be heard at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Earlier on Tuesday, the ED had said that Rs 2.85 crore in cash and 133 gold coins were seized during the raid against Satyendra Jain and his associates during the probe into the money laundering case.

Satyendra Jain's health also deteriorated when he left the court on June 9, after which he was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. Arvind Kejriwal and his party Satyendra Jain are constantly defending. The Delhi chief minister said he had seen all the papers and that Satyendra Jain was innocent. Kejriwal has called Jain a fanatic.
