Russia claims that the West has destroyed all arms supplies to Ukraine

MOSCOW: Russia's military says it has called for an end to all Western-supplied weapons to Ukraine in a recent offensive. It is also sending more forces. Major General Igor Konashenkov said Russian artillery had destroyed two artillery systems supplied by Norway and Howitzer and the United States.

Russia's strategy for capturing the last two cities in Ukraine's Donbas province has become increasingly deadly.

He said Russian artillery had destroyed Ukrainian equipment. Russia's air force has destroyed its equipment and artillery positions while attacking Ukrainian forces. However his claim could not be independently verified.

Luhansk Governor Serfi Haidei said Russia had occupied the outskirts of Sievirodonetsk. It is one of the two cities in Ukraine's Luhansk province. Haidei said that a very tough street fight is going on. Thesituation is constantly changing , but the Ukrainians have so far managed to repel the attacks. Russia wants to occupy the entire Donbass province, which is made up of Donetsk and Luhansk provinces. Despite Russia's overwhelming firepower, Ukrainian forces have so far resisted.

Russian forces have taken full control of the city of Lisichansk, near Sievevirodonetsk, and have established a base there. Haidai said Russian forces attacked and destroyed local markets ,schools and college buildings. The injured have been sent to other parts of Ukraine for treatment. The city is on the verge of complete destruction as Russia intensifies its artillery fire in the last four hours.

Ukraine receives arms and ammunition supplies from the West to repel Russian aggression.
