Islamabad, Ta. 05 June 2022, Sunday

Amid rumors of a plot to assassinate former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, Islamabad police have beefed up security in areas adjacent to the city's Bani Gala. Security agencies have also been placed on high alert. An Islamabad police spokesman said Article 144 had already been implemented in the city and all gatherings were banned. Islamabad police shared the information via Twitter.

According to police, Imran Khan will be provided full security as per law and mutual cooperation is also expected from Imran Khan's security teams. In this regard, Imran Khan's nephew Hassan Niazi said that if anything happens to the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), it will be considered an attack on Pakistan. Those who do so will be deeply remorseful.

Fawad Chaudhry had earlier announced that PTI chairman Imran Khan was coming to Islamabad on Sunday. Chaudhry had in April informed that the country's security agencies had hatched a conspiracy to assassinate Imran Khan.

PTI leader Faisal Wawda also claimed that a conspiracy was hatched to assassinate the Pakistani PM for refusing to "sell the country". "The life of the Prime Minister of Pakistan is in danger," he said. He further added that Khan was advised to wear bulletproof glasses during his rally at the parade ground in Islamabad. However, as always, Imran Khan had said that my death would come only when Allah wills. Don't worry about it.
