No one helps us, only India gives money

Speaking on the strike by the engineers of the state-owned Ceylon Electricity Board, Vikram Singh said, "Please don't cause a blackout. If you continue to do so, then don't ask me to get help from India." No country pays for fuel and coal. India offers. Our line of credit with India has also come to an end. We are in talks to extend that credit line.

According to a media report, the Prime Minister also said that India cannot continue to help. Some people in India are asking why China is helping him. Instead of helping him, China says help him first.

A union in Sri Lanka's electricity sector said on Wednesday that it was going to go on an indefinite strike in protest of the electricity law. If that happens then the whole country will be in darkness.

Sri Lanka has sought a loan of ૫ 25 million from India to buy urea. India has also lent food, medicine and fuel to Sri Lanka at a cost of 2.5 billion. Sri Lanka is on the verge of bankruptcy. It is struggling with a shortage of food, fuel, medicines and all the necessities of life. For the past few months, Sri Lankan citizens have had to stand in line even for limited stock.

Surprisingly, even China has acknowledged that India is making a concerted effort to help Sri Lanka.
