The mother bought the fridge, TV and washing machine with the money she got from selling the baby. The accused mother made the deal with the consent of her husband. Police have registered a case against a total of eight accused in the incident out of which six have been arrested by the police.

According to information received, Shaina BA, a resident of Hira Nagar area of ​​Indore, told the police that her husband was suspicious of the child. "My husband wanted to have an abortion, but the time was running out so we planned to sell the baby through brokers and sell the baby to a couple of Devas," she said. The baby was bought by a woman named Lena, police said. Lena said her two children had recently died. After which he bought the baby for five and a half lakhs.

6 out of 8 accused arrested

Police said the woman used the proceeds from the sale of the baby to buy items such as a TV, fridge, cooler and washing machine, which were confiscated. Police said the incident was reported through social workers. A case has been registered against eight people, including accused mother Shaira B, in the incident. Including a minor. Six of the accused have been arrested and two are absconding. Police claimed that the absconding accused would also be arrested soon.
