Looney Yellow Alert in Delhi amid normal-heavy rains in several states


- Temperatures will drop in north-west India

- Heavy rains forecast in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bengal, Sikkim, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh

New Delhi: Extreme heat is raging in many parts of north-west India, including the national capital Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan. In the midst of this, the meteorological department said that the hot weather will continue for another day or two in these areas. The Loonie situation is over in Central India and its environs as well as in most parts of East India. On the one hand, it rained in many states and on the other hand, a yellow alert was issued in Delhi on Monday.

According to the meteorological department, there will be no rise in temperatures in northwest India during the next two days, while temperatures will slowly decrease by two to three degrees during this time. Particularly in the plains of Delhi-NCR and North West India, it is forecast to get some relief from the scorching heat and hot weather. The IMD on Monday said that the Delhi-NCR area is likely to receive rains on June 12 and 13.

Loonie conditions were observed in some areas of Delhi and South Haryana on Sunday. Simultaneously, loony conditions arose in different parts of south-eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, south-western Bihar and northern Odisha. According to the meteorological department, there is a possibility of thundershowers in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. Similarly, heavy rain alert has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Besides, heavy rains are expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and many other areas. On the one hand, heavy rains are forecast in these states, while on the other hand, a yellow alert has been issued for loons in Delhi.
