- Tensions rise after so-called provocative speech in a mosque: Army also conducts flag march

Srinagar: A curfew has been imposed in Bhadravah village in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district late Thursday evening as a precautionary measure to prevent communal tensions, and troops have been called in for the flag march. Internet service in Kishtwar and Bhadravah has also been shut down due to tension.

Police officials say unrest erupted during a so-called provocative speech during a protest rally against some insulting remarks made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about the Prophet Muhammad. His video clip has also gone viral on social media.

The official said the provocative speech was made in a mosque. A case has been registered in Bhadravah police station under section 4-A of IPC (insulting place of worship for the purpose of insulting any religion) and 304 (punishment for criminal intimidation). No one taking the law into their own hands will be spared.
