Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is embroiled in new allegations. He is facing charges of selling gifts received from presidents of other countries. In the meantime a big news has come up.

A media report released today claims that former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan earned millions of rupees by selling three watches he received as a gift to a local dealer.

The report, citing an official inquiry, said that while in office, Imran Khan had illegally earned Rs 2.5 crore by selling three watches he had gifted to a local dealer. The watch was not among the gifts featured in an earlier report published in the media.

According to an official inquiry, the most expensive watch (valued at more than Rs 10.1 crore) was kept at 80 per cent of its value by the then Prime Minister. The watch was officially priced at Rs 10.1 crore.

The former prime minister announced that he had sold the watch for Rs 2.1 crore and deposited Rs 2 crore in the exchequer. In this way Rs 2.1 crore was earned. In the same way he also sold two other watches at half the actual price.

According to Pakistani law, any gift received from a dignitary of a foreign state has to be deposited in a government depository or toshkhana.
