London, Ta. 13 June 2022, Monday

The British government has fired Imam Qari Asim, an adviser who has been pushing for a ban on the film "The Lady of Heaven", based on the story of Lady Fatima, the daughter of the Prophet Mohammad.

Imam Qari was an Islamophobia adviser to the Asim government and also the vice chairman of a workforce designed to curb anti-Muslim hatred. He was informed by a government letter that your support for the film, The Lady of Heaven, restricts artistic expression. It also increases sectarian tensions. Because of this it is not appropriate for you to continue working with the government in roles designed to enhance community harmony. '

Why the controversy is happening

Maulvi Yasir Al-Habib is the producer of this film and he is a Shia Muslim. It is alleged that Yasser al-Habib misrepresented some of the early Sunni Muslim dignitaries. His actions are believed to have been compared to those of the Islamic State group in Iraq.

The Supreme Ulema Council in Morocco said the film was a gross misrepresentation of the established facts of Islam. The council accused the film of "disgusting bias" and said the filmmakers had "hurt the feelings of Muslims and tried to provoke religious sentiments in order to gain publicity and make it more sensational."

Opposition in many countries

'The Lady of Heaven' - The film has caused a stir in many countries besides Islamic countries. The film, written by Yasir Al-Habib of Kuwait, was released in Britain on June 3. Performances were then held outside theaters in Birmingham, Bolton, Bradford and Sheffield in Britain. Due to such performances, the cinemas there canceled the screening of the film for the safety of its employees and customers. The film has been banned in Egypt, Morocco and Pakistan, while Iranian clerics have issued fatwas against viewers.
