As president of the Women's College at AMU, she was active in student politics there. After AMU, he got admission in JNU. He took part in the ongoing agitation against CAA and NRC in Delhi in 2019. Police say he is close to Sharjeel Imam, the mastermind of the Shahinbagh conspiracy. He also acquitted Afzal Guru, who was convicted of attacking Parliament in 2001 and hanged.
