In a decree issued on June 3, CAQM said that the ban on the use of coal would be effective from October 1 in areas with PNG infrastructure and supply from January 1, 2023 in areas where PNG supply is not available. The panel said that the use of coal as a complete fuel will be banned on January 1, 2023.
