Delhi court extends ED custody of Delhi health minister for four more days in money laundering case Special Judge Gitanjali Goyal has extended Jain's ED custody till June 15. The ED had filed an application in the court seeking extension of Jain's custody for another five days.

ASG SV Raju, appearing on behalf of the ED, told the court that raids were carried out on complexes including his home and office in the early days of Jain's custody. Cash and some documents were found during the raid.

Raju further said that as Jain was yet to be questioned about the documents seized during the raid, he still needed to be kept in the custody of the ED for a few days.

Senior counsel Kapil Sibal, appearing for Jain, opposed the ED's plea, saying the accused had been in ED's custody for the last several days and there was no need to extend the custody.

ED's Special Public Prosecutor NK Matta told the court that the ED had arrested him in an alleged money laundering case. He is being held in custody under the criminal provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
