China is our closest friend, China's important role in Pakistan's development: Shahbaz Sharif

Pakistan's PM Shahbaz Sharif was on a visit to Gwadar, Balochistan on June 24. During the visit, he appealed to the people of Balochistan to ensure the safety of foreign investors investing in development in the area.

It is the responsibility of the government to solve the problems of Balochistan

Regarding the plight of Balochistan, Shahbaz Sharif said it was the responsibility of the government to address the challenges facing the local people. He further said that the fishermen will be removed based on the priority of their problems. Development of the region is meaningless without resolving the problems of the local people.

China is not an East India Company

Shahbaz Sharif said that China is the closest friend of Pakistan. There are no similarities between the East India Company during the Chinese and British Raj. China has always supported Pakistan at the diplomatic and economic levels. China has an important role to play in the development of Pakistan and especially Balochistan. It has appealed to the people of Balochistan to give importance to Chinese investors.

Chinese projects targeted in Balochistan

Gwadar has been a hub for Balochistan's freedom fighters. Projects linked to China and Chinese personnel have been targeted by the terrorist group due to increasing Chinese activities in the area over the past few years.
