Advice to print-television and digital media to stop public gambling publicity

The government is making several efforts to curb the growing number of online gambling or speculative activities. Just last week, a committee was formed to look into how to ban or control online gambling and gambling, and the central government on Monday advised print-television and digital media to stop public gambling.

By issuing an advisory, the Department of Information and Broadcasting has advised the online, digital or print media not to display such online speculative activities or public news of online betting in the interest of the general public.

Today's youth, children or the general public are told not to get addicted to online gambling and to consider their socio-economic risks.
