A man accused of threatening to blow up RSS offices has been arrested in Pudukudi, Tamil Nadu. The accused is identified as Raj Mohammad. The police administration was outraged when six RSS offices across the country were threatened with bombing.
Threats to attack 6 RSS offices
On Monday night, six RSS offices across the country were threatened with bombing, including two in Lucknow. The threat was made through Whatsapp. A case has also been registered at Madiyanv police station in Lucknow after receiving the threat.
The accused is a resident of Tamil Nadu, the police official said. UP police is bringing him to Lucknow with the help of Tamil Nadu police.
Threatened from unknown number
Police further said that a person connected with RSS got a link to join Whatsapp group from an unknown number in Lucknow. The group threatened to bomb six RSS offices. Out of which 4 offices are located in Karnataka and 2 in Lucknow. Police have registered a case based on a complaint lodged by Professor Nilkanth Tiwari. Meanwhile, after receiving a threatening message, the police immediately launched an investigation.
Police traced an unknown number used for the threat. The location of the accused's number was found in Tamil Nadu. UP police with the help of Tamil Nadu police have arrested the accused. The accused has been questioned and the case is still under investigation.
