The world has the same amount of wheat that lasts 70 days, all eyes are now on India

The world's food crisis is deepening following Russia's attack on Ukraine, the so-called wheat basket for Europe.

Now the United Nations has warned that the world has only 70 days' worth of wheat left. For the first time since 2008, world wheat stocks are at such a low level. This type of crisis occurs only once in a generation.

The eyes of the world are now on the Quad countries meeting to be held in Japan, in which India is to attend. In this meeting, the issue of wheat can be discussed.

All the countries in the world are in tension after India imposed a ban on wheat exports. Under normal circumstances, Ukraine and Russia supply 25 percent of the world's wheat, and Western nations fear that Putin could use wheat as a weapon. On the other hand, bad weather has damaged wheat crops in the US and Europe.

These countries also fear that Putin is destroying agricultural equipment in Ukraine and smuggling wheat there. Which could disrupt the world's wheat supply chain.

At a time when the situation is worsening due to restrictions imposed on wheat exports by India, US President Biden is likely to request Indian PM Modi for wheat exports at the quad meeting.
