The two planes crashed when they collided in the air between two Air Force planes in South Korea. A total of three pilots and one training officer were aboard the aircraft. All four were killed.
South Korean Air Force training was underway. The KT-1 type aircraft flew five minutes apart. But for some reason in the air there was a terrible collision between the two planes. Both planes crashed into the air.
The planes were carrying three pilots and a senior training officer. Three pilots died on the spot. The training officer was seriously injured. He died at the hospital during treatment.
South Korean Air Force officials said that fortunately no civilians were injured in the collision, but that property was damaged where the planes crashed. The process of compensating their owners will be undertaken. The Air Force is conducting a high-level investigation into the crash. Police said more details were being obtained about the cause of the crash.
