Smugglers in Delhi: Whole ATMs were stolen instead of cash!




The smugglers struck at an ATM in Delhi's Ali Vihar area. The cash did not come out so the smugglers took the entire ATM and fled. Questions have also been raised about police patrolling after the incident.
A bizarre incident of theft has taken place in Ali Vihar area in South East Delhi. The smugglers struck at a State Bank ATM with the intention of stealing cash. But the cash did not come out so the smugglers took the entire ATM. The machine is claimed to have a cash amount of Rs 30 lakh.
Police have started efforts to identify the smugglers. Based on the surrounding CCTV, the police are trying to reach the smugglers. Locals have raised questions about police patrolling. People said this was the first such incident in the area. Why didn't the police know until the smugglers picked up the whole machine and took it away? People also questioned whether the police were patrolling.
Locals said the criminals in the area were not afraid of the police at all. The incidence of theft has increased tremendously throughout the region. Incidents of theft, robbery and burglary have been reported in the South East.
