Corona erupts again in Shanghai, distressed by sanctions

Citizens are required to take self-test every day and also wear masks at home

Despite the lockdown, the number of cases has been steadily rising.

Shanghai: Corona has once again caused an uproar in Shanghai, China's largest city and commercial capital. Despite the lockdown, the government has imposed more sanctions as the number of corona cases in Shanghai continues to rise.

According to the data released by the health department on Sunday, 438 cases of corona symptoms and 7788 asymptomatic cases without symptoms have been reported in the last 24 hours. The people here are suffering because of the restrictions imposed by the government to control the transition.

As per the instructions given by the local system to 26 million people in Shanghai, they will have to undergo twin test compulsorily. Covid antigen test will be done on the first day and nucleic acid test will be done on the second day. Concerned officials say twin tests have been made mandatory for all citizens to break the chain of transition.

The two-phase lockdown was launched in Shanghai last week. Despite government assurances, complaints are being raised about food distribution, medicines and availability of health facilities.

Many people are still suffering due to the special restrictions imposed in the Pudong area. These people have been instructed by the system to take various precautions including self-testing of covid every day, wearing a mask even at home, and staying away from contact with family members.
