Rise in petrol and diesel prices for another day

After three months of stagnant prices due to elections, the government now seems to have allowed oil marketing companies to raise petrol and diesel prices in the face of rising crude oil prices. An increase of 80 paise in petrol and 82 paise in diesel has been announced on the second day after the first hike came into effect from 6 am on Tuesday. The increase will take effect at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
