No liberation from masks even after March 31, media reports are false

Following the drastic reduction in corona cases, the Union Ministry of Health has decided to end all measures taken to control corona. However, the Center today clarified that measures like wearing masks and washing hands frequently would be continued. The Union Ministry of Health has clarified that reports of relief given for wearing masks and keeping hands clean are false.

The ministry tweeted that some media reports stated that the wearing of masks and frequent hand washing were relaxed. This report is completely false. No such relief has been granted.

Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written a letter to the chief secretaries of all the states stating that measures to control the corona, including the use of masks and keeping hands clean, will be paramount in the entire national campaign.

The total number of cases of corona in the country has increased to 4,50,12,9 against the new 18 cases of corona in the country. On the other hand, the number of active cases in the country has come down to 2,08, the Union Health Ministry said in a statement.

The total death toll from Corona has risen to 4,12,303 so far in the country, with six more deaths in the last four hours. In the last 3 hours, the number of active cases of corona has decreased by 4.

According to the health ministry, the daily positive rate is 0.5 per cent while the weekly positive rate is 0.2 per cent.

With this, the number of doses of corona vaccine given in the country has crossed 131.5 crore. In the meantime, the central government should take a risk assessment approach to the states and start economic and social activities.

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has told the states that social, sports, entertainment, academic, cultural, religious and festival based gatherings should be allowed with precautionary measures.
