India today successfully tested a medium-range surface-to-air missile from the Chandipur-based Integrated Test Range in Odisha, the Defense Research Development Authority (DRDO) said in a statement.

The missile was tested at 10.30 am. The DRDO tweeted that the MRSAM-Ami missile system flight was tested from the integrated test range at Balasore at 10.30 am. Who successfully crossed the long-range air target.

This test conducted by DRDO is considered very important. Earlier, India had conducted a simple surface-to-surface test of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile at Andaman and Nicobar on March 9. The missile was developed by DRDO in collaboration with an Israeli company.

The MRSAM missile system is capable of hitting multiple targets at a range of 20 km even in inclement weather. This system is fully capable of destroying enemy fighter jets, helicopters, UAE and other such systems. This system will work even in bad weather.

Numerous tests have shown that this is a reliable defense system. It is almost impossible for any aircraft, drone or missile to come within range of this missile.
