We are happy that Arpana Yadav's joining will spread socialist ideology in BJP: Akhilesh Yadav

Mulayam Singh Yadav's son-in-law Arpana Yadav has joined the BJP and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has said that there is no fact in cutting Arpana Yadav's ticket as candidates have not been decided in many seats yet.

"Arpana Yadav was persuaded by my father Mulayam Singh but he did not believe me," he said.

Asked if Mulayam Singh Yadav's blessings would be with Aparna Yadav, Akhilesh said, "Netaji tried to persuade him but we are happy that Arpana Yadav has joined BJP and socialist ideology is spreading in BJP too. We hope that , It will help to save democracy.

On the question of contesting his election, Akhilesh said, "If the people of Azamgarh approve, I will contest from there. I was elected by the people there for the Lok Sabha."

BJP leader Laxmikant Bajpayee had made a statement pointing out that uncle Shivpal Yadav should join BJP. Not to be involved in the party.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh also announced that the poor families get Rs 6,000 under the pension scheme, which will be increased to Rs 18,000 if the socialist government comes.
