Corona 2.58 lakh new cases across the country, 385 more deaths: Omicron cases surpass 8209

New Delhi: Corona virus cases are on the rise again in India. Children are now being vaccinated. At present, people between the ages of 15 and 18 are being vaccinated, while from next March, people between the ages of 12 and 14 will also be vaccinated, said the chairman of the policy commission, Dr. NK Arora said.

Arora said that by the month of March, the work of vaccinating 15 to 18 year olds will be completed and then vaccination of 12 to 14 year olds will also be started. In India, on the other hand, 2.58 lakh new cases of corona virus were reported. A further 385 people died in 24 hours due to the corona.

On the other hand, the total number of cases of Omicron variant across the country has crossed 8209 and it is increasing day by day. So far a total of 3109 patients of Omicron variant have been cured. Maharashtra has the highest number of 1738 cases of Omicron. While this variant has now spread to 29 states and union territories.

Cases are increasing rapidly in Kerala. In Kerala, 22946 new cases of corona have been reported. In the state of Uttar Pradesh, 15,622 new cases of corona have been reported while nine more have been killed.

Similarly in Odisha also 10489 new cases of Corona virus were reported and three more people died. A further 12527 cases of corona have been reported in Delhi and another 24 people have been killed. While the positivity rate in the state has reached 27.99. The number of active cases of corona in Andhra Pradesh has crossed 30 thousand.

On the other hand, the National Covid-19 Task Force under the Union Ministry of Health has issued new guidelines for the treatment of Koro-infected elderly people. The new guideline divides corona-positive elderly into three categories.

It consists of three parts: mild, moderate and critically ill. The guideline states that those who have such symptoms should be treated. Information on what to do and what not to do during treatment is given in these three categories.
