The world should not mistake corona for the common flu: WHO warns

Geneva, Ta. 13
The new Omicron variant of the corona virus is being described as milder than the delta strain, and now the World Health Organization (WHO) has warned the world not to misunderstand the corona as a common flu, especially in European countries.
The World Health Organization (WHO) says the spread of Omicron has not yet stabilized. “We are still surrounded by great uncertainty,” said Catherine Smallwood, a senior WHO emergency officer. The virus is still growing rapidly. New challenges are coming up. We are not yet in a position to declare an epidemic a disease confined to one area.
Experts say that the severity of corona and flu symptoms is determined by a person’s health. In many serious cases both infections can spread to the lower respiratory system and cause problems such as pneumonia.
