The Indian-origin CEO who fired the 900 zoom has returned

NEW YORK: Vishal Garg, the Indian-origin CEO of the controversial US-based homeownership firm Better.com, has returned from leave after he recently fired 900 employees over ZoomCall. There was widespread outcry against his expulsion.

Garg fired more than 900 employees in ZoomCall just a couple of weeks before Christmas last year. He said I did not bring good news for you. If you are on this call you are part of the unlucky group. Your job is terminated with immediate effect. Garg's dismissal was widely criticized. However, Garg said he had not fired any of the company's staff but only nine per cent.

Garg then apologized for the way he handled the whole issue of expulsion. "I have failed to pay due respect to the employees who laid down ,who have contributed so many years and helped make the company better," he said. The decision to expel was correct ,but the manner in which it was implemented was not correct. I didn't want to embarrass them like that.
