Kulgam: Extermination of Pakistani terrorist Babur, Jammu resident policeman martyred

Clashes between security forces and militants that started on Wednesday in Kashmir's Kulgam district lasted till Thursday morning. A terrorist belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed has been killed. His identity has come to the fore as Babarbhai. He was a resident of Pakistan. He has been active in Shopian and Kulgam since 2018.

An AK-47 rifle, a pistol and two grenades were recovered from the militant. Jammu resident Rohit Chib was killed in the clash. At the same time, 3 army personnel and 2 civilians were also injured. He has been admitted to hospital for treatment.

Police were informed of the presence of terrorists in the Parivan area. Based on this, a team of security forces launched a search operation. As the siege was getting tougher, the militants started firing and clashes started with retaliation. In it, the jawans shot dead Jaish-e-Mohammed militant Babur.

Kashmir Zone IG Vijay Kumar said that Pakistani militant Babur was killed in the clash. Weapons and ammunition have been recovered from him. One policeman has been killed, three Army personnel and two civilians injured while undergoing treatment.
