We will fight together with Samajwadi Party, people in Uttar Pradesh are eager to support BJP: Sharad Pawar

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh is going to hold assembly elections this year. However, the BJP has already suffered a major blow. Yogi government minister Swami Prasad Maurya has quit the BJP. After Maurya's resignation, his supportive MLAs have also started leaving the BJP. So far, four other MLAs have left the BJP. Maurya and these MLAs can now join the Samajwadi Party.

After Maurya, Kanpur BJP MLA Bhagwati Singh Sagar and Banda Tindwari BJP MLA Bradesh Prajapati have also resigned from the BJP. Apart from this, Roshanlal Verma, MLA of Tilhar in Shahjahanpur, has also quit the BJP and joined the Samajwadi Party. Meetings of BJP MLAs started at his residence only after Swami Prasad Maurya resigned. Now that Roshanlal has joined the SP, other MLAs may also join the Samajwadi Party.

There are reports that 13 MLAs in Uttar Pradesh are going to join the Samajwadi Party. The claim was made by NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. "Our party NCP is also with Akhilesh Yadav's party SP in Uttar Pradesh," Pawar said. This election will be fought by uniting all the smaller parties in Uttar Pradesh. The people of Uttar Pradesh want change. We will definitely see a change in the state.

It is noteworthy that following the resignation of Swami Prasad Maurya, the BJP has suffered a major blow. As a result, there are reports that the BJP is now engaged in damage control efforts. Earlier, Maurya Mayawati's party was in the BSP, though she later joined the BJP. Now there is speculation that he will join the Socialist Party. Akhilesh Yadav even welcomed him to the Samajwadi Party.
