Corona outbreaks: 26,000 new cases in Maharashtra, 14,000 in Bengal, 10,000 in Delhi

New Delhi: Corona virus cases are on the rise in the country. In the last 3 hours, more than 30,000 new cases have come up in the country. In which Maharashtra is first with 3000 new cases, with 15000 cases. Bengal ranks second. While in the capital Delhi also more than 10 thousand new cases have come up. Cases of Omicron variant are also increasing. The total number of cases of Omicron in the country has increased to over 215.

The Omicron variant is currently spread across 9 states and Union Territories across the country. Although no one has died due to Omicron in the country so far, this is the first case of death due to Omicron in Rajasthan. A 6-year-old man died in Udaipur last week, according to a recent report from Korona, which was found to be an omicron variant. So now the first case of death due to Omicron has been reported in the country.

Meanwhile, cases of corona have also increased in educational institutions. Corona's report from 20 students and staff at IIT Guwahati has come positive. As a result, the entire educational institution has been turned into a containment zone and every student is being tested for corona. Maharashtra tops in Omicron cases. After Maharashtra, Delhi and Kerala also have twice as many new Omicron cases as other states in the country.

The situation is deteriorating in the capital Delhi. Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the third wave of Korona epidemic has hit Delhi. The number of active cases in the country has also risen sharply and the number of active cases which were below one lakh at one time has now crossed two lakh in a matter of days. Corona, meanwhile, has killed eight more people across the country, including six in Kerala and 20 in Maharashtra. This means that Kerala has the highest number of deaths due to corona in the country.
